We have a few agreements to make the stay as pleasant as possible for everyone.
Please read them through, then you will know exactly what to expect!

dogs
(max. 2 per pitch)mustalways be on a lead. Walking dogs on the site is not allowed. Dogs are not permitted in the gastropub, sanitary facilities or other buildings.

Can you swim at the campsite?
At the campsite, you can enjoy paddling and building dams in the stream. It is just too shallow to swim in.
Maboge-Plage is 15 minutes by car and you can swim in the Ourthe there.

Between22:00 and 08:00motor vehicles are not allowed.
If you arrive later, you can park the car next to the campsite and walk to your pitch.
Maximum speed
The campsite has amaximum speed limit of 5 km/h.

Children under 12 years old may not be left alone at the campsite.

What do you have for babies?
Our facilities have a changing area.
A baby cot and chair are (limited) available.

Between23:00 and 08:00please keep it down. Socialising is of course welcome, but make sure that other guests are not disturbed by your noise.

These mustalways remain free of obstacles, so that emergency services can pass through safely and quickly in case of emergencies.
Parking on the paths is not allowed.

Cars must be parked in the parking spaces or on your own camping pitch if it is a hard surface. A maximum of 1 car per pitch.
No cars are allowed on grass pitches and the tent field.
Do you have refrigerators for rent?
There are communal refrigerators available at our washing-up building.

cancellation
By the guest: In case of cancellation less than 30 days before arrival, the payment will not be refunded unless it is rebooked. In case of early departure, the full amount for the reserved period is due.

By the campsite: In case of cancellation by the campsite due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of the deposit.

Can I order bread?
The baker comes by every day (except on Wednesdays) with fresh rolls! Fill in the bread list by 17:30.
If it is quiet at the campsite, the baker will not come by.
Can I also come with my large camper/motorhome?
We are suitable for caravans, campers, and motorhomes up to 6.5 meters.
Is your vehicle longer? Then you will be turned away upon entry and there is no right to a refund.
Is there wifi / mobile reception?
Free wifi is available in the bar.
In our little valley, there is hardly any mobile phone reception. Ideal for unwinding!
Can I come with a group?
Only on request.
Tro Do Way is a small campsite in the middle of nature. Cosiness and adventure are our priorities, but we are not well equipped for larger groups. Please feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities.
Can I reserve multiple pitches together?
Certainly, make a reservation for each pitch and mention in the notes who you would like to be near.
Please note; we are not suitable for larger groups, contact us if you are coming with more than 6 adults.
Can I set up a party tent?
Party tents are not allowed, but setting up a nice tarp is perfectly fine! 😊 This keeps the natural atmosphere of our campsite intact.
Is there space for a hammock?
We have several spots with suitable trees to build a nice bivouac.
Please mention this in the notes of your reservation!
Can I place an option?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to place an option.
However, you can cancel a reservation free of charge up to a month in advance.
Is there electricity at the pitches?
Yes, all camping pitches have a 6A power connection, CEE plug. This is approximately 1300 watts. Adapters and extension cables are available for rent (€2 per day).
The tent field has no power supply.
Is air conditioning allowed in my caravan/camper?
No, we are off-grid and have a limited power supply. Therefore, air conditioning units are not allowed.

Trade, political or religious propaganda, and provocative behaviour are not tolerated.
The owners reserve the right to remove guests who misbehave from the premises.
Liability
The campsite is not liable for theft or accidents on the premises.
waste & cleaning
Campsite
Leave your spot clean, just as you would like to find it! Take your waste, wood scraps, and other items with you or dispose of them in the correct container.
Glass
You can dispose of it in the glass bin by the containers. There are crates next to the glass bin for beer bottles.
No glass disposal after 21:00.
Waste
Deposithouseholdwaste in the containers at the campsite. These are located at the exit.
Bulky waste isnotallowed.
Unwanted visitors
Do not leave waste or food scraps outside at night to prevent raccoons, foxes, or other pests from visiting.
water & sanitation
Is there a washing machine/tumble dryer?
We have a washing machine and tumble dryer available. A wash or dry cycle costs €4.
We do not have drinking water
We use surface water that is first filtered through a UV filter and to which a small amount of chlorine is added.
We are not allowed to offer this water as drinking water.
Water usage
We use spring water, which is collected in a reservoir and is not infinite.
Wasteis not allowed.
Washing cars is not allowed.
Wastewater
Wastewater must not be discharged on the premises or into the stream. Chemical toilets may only be emptied at the discharge point of the second sanitary building.
Discharge point
There is no discharge point for grey water; you can find one in Houffalize.
fire & bbq
May I light a fire?
Certainly, but only when the weather permits. We will determine if it is safe enough to make a fire.
- Fires are only allowed in aclosed fire bowlon a stable surface and never directly on the grass. Fire bowls are available for loan.
- Abucket of waternext to the fire is mandatory. You can also borrow this from us.
- Ashesin the bin by the wood shed, not in the forest or in the waste containers.
We trust that you will handle fire carefully, so everyone can continue to enjoy their fire!
May I collect firewood?
No, collecting firewood is not allowed. You may only use wood that you have purchased from us or elsewhere.
Sawing, breaking, or collecting branches in the forest is not allowed — this is how we protect the nature around Tro Do Way together.
Can I use my own fire pit or fire bowl?
Fire pits are not allowed on our campsite. Fire bowls, however, are permitted, provided they are completely closed at the bottom and large enough to be used safely.
If you don't have your own fire pit, you can borrow one from us. We are happy to help you create a safe and cosy fire spot!
Can I buy wood at the campsite?
Yes, you can! We offer firewood for sale at the campsite. This is a mix of oak, beech, and birch. This way, you are assured of good burning wood for your fire pit or barbecue.
We also have fire starters.
Am I allowed to barbecue?
Yes, a gas barbecue is allowed all year round. The same rules apply to charcoal barbecues as for a campfire.
Disposable barbecues are strictly prohibited!
Am I allowed to have a wood stove in my camping unit?
Yes, that is super cool! The same rules apply as for having a fire.
